Prophet’s original message
The Prophet’s original message and the meaning a person derives from it are two different things. The Prophet’s words are observed or transmitted statements, but drawing specific meanings, principles, or systems from them is called human interpretation, and it cannot be considered the Prophet’s actual message. It is better for a person to keep the Prophet’s words in mind when acting, and if something feels inwardly contrary to them, to refrain from it. However, imposing one’s own interpretations of the Prophet’s words on others as if they were the Prophet’s own statements leads toward wrongdoing. If something is not understood, one should pray directly to God for understanding instead of relying on others’ interpretations. Since every person’s personality, circumstances, and opportunities are different, human interpretations of moral actions cannot be judged by uniform or measurable standards like natural laws.
